THERE'Agate is a variety of chalky, i.e. a cryptocrystalline quartz and microcrystalline, usually with obvious color gradients.

It is a stone that in nature exists in many colors, from white to black, crossing colors of yellow, red, orange, gray, pink, etc.; often enriched by particular shades. The colours are due to the presence of iron and manganese oxides.
