Description

Originally discovered by Alfred L. O. Legrand Des Cloizeaux in 1858, the Phosfosiderite is an iron phosphate, whose name comes from the word “sideros” which in greek means iron.

The colors that distinguish it vary from pink, purple, to violet with possible yellow shades due to the presence of iron oxides.
