Description
The Emerald It is a variety of the mineral species Berillo belongs to the class of silicates (it is a beryllium and aluminum cyclosilicate), and crystallizes in the hexagonal system.
The color is due to the presence of small quantities of chromium and varies from green on green with blue shades. Moreover, most of the gems has internal features, called in technical jargon "inclusions", or more improperly "gardens" for their likeness with moss.
