Thomsonite is a mineral that belongs to the group of zeolites, ie of the silicate hydrates that are often found in the rocks of magmatic origin. Thomsonite is one of the rarest and most appreciated between the zeolites, both for soft and delicate colors, and for the fascinating designs that present on the surfaces of the stones cut into cabochon. It is located in acicular crystals struts inside cavities in effusive magmatic rocks, especially basalti.
